    Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) – Ethos Care 

    (Opening Early 2026 – Haven Wood Retirement Home & Village, Ballygunner, Waterford)

    Ethos Care is recruiting a compassionate and dynamic Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) who will play a key role in shaping the delivery of person-centred, high-quality care in our new nursing home opening in Ballygunner, Waterford.

    About the Role

    We are excited to invite applications for the role of Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) to join the opening team at Havenwood, Ballygunner. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a brand-new nursing home and play a key role in shaping high-quality care and a positive team culture from the outset.

    As a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM), you will support the Person in Charge (PIC) in leading the nursing team, ensuring clinical excellence, and maintaining compliance with HIQA standards and organisational policies. You will contribute to creating a warm, respectful, and person-centred environment where residents feel valued, safe, and supported.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide strong leadership, clinical supervision, and day-to-day guidance to nursing and care teams.
    • Support the PIC in the overall management and operation of the nursing home.
    • Promote and uphold a culture of person-centred care, ensuring residents’ dignity, choice, and independence are respected at all times.
    • Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, policies, and best practice guidelines.
    • Support safeguarding practices, ensuring all residents are protected and concerns are appropriately managed and reported.
    • Contribute to the delivery of holistic care, addressing residents’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
    • Act as a clinical role model, supporting staff development, training, and continuous improvement.
    • Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including day, night, and weekend shifts.
    • Participate in the on-call rota and work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Third-level nursing degree and active NMBI registration with PIN.

    • Minimum 6 years post-registration nursing experience.

    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a nursing home setting.

    • Management experience is desirable.

    • Post-registration qualification in healthcare management (or willingness to undertake).

    • Demonstrated clinical competency and passion for high-quality elder care.
