We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Assistant Person in Charge (APIC) to join the leadership team of our new Ethos Care home in Ballygunner, Waterford, opening early 2026. We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Person in Charge (APIC) to join the opening team at Havenwood, Ballygunner. This is a unique chance to play a key leadership role in establishing a brand-new nursing home and shaping a culture of excellence from the very beginning.
Working closely with the Person in Charge (PIC), you will support the overall management of the centre, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and staff support are achieved. You will be instrumental in creating a warm, welcoming, and person-centred environment where residents feel valued and staff feel supported to thrive.
Third-level nursing degree and active NMBI registration with PIN.
Minimum 6 years post-registration nursing experience.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a nursing home environment.
Minimum 2 years’ management experience.
Post-registration qualification in healthcare management (or willingness to complete).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
