What You’ll Do:

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of wholesome meals and home baking.
• Ensure health, safety, food handling, HACCP, and infection control standards are met.
• Help document food ordering, receiving, and maintenance in line with safe practices.
• Support daily menu planning to meet residents’ individual dietary needs.
• Gain knowledge in nutrition for older people and MUST guidelines.
• Ensure safe food storage and adhere to all legislative standards.
• Promote person-centred care and create respectful, positive relationships with residents.
• Assist with audits/inspections and maintain service standards.
• Work various days and weekend shifts as required.

Education & Qualifications:

• Current and valid Food Handling, HACCP, Manual Handling, and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults Certificates (training available if needed).
• Cook or Chef qualification (preferred but not essential).

Skills & Experience:

• Proven ability to prepare quality, nutritious meals for older people.
• Previous experience in a care home setting is desirable.
• Strong adherence to health and safety procedures.
• Passionate about delivering balanced and nutritious meals to older people.
