Perform a variety of maintenance tasks including painting, decorating, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, gardening, waste management, and general repairs.
Work closely with the Management Team to prioritise and complete maintenance requests efficiently.
Conduct and document regular maintenance checks (weekly, monthly, annually) with timely follow-up.
Support emergency repairs, contractors, audits, and inspections.
Ensure the home is safe, clean, and well-maintained in line with Health, Safety, and Fire regulations.
Take ownership of tasks and log all completed work.
Build strong, respectful relationships with residents and team members.
Be flexible with scheduling, including evenings and weekends if required.
Hands-on experience with general maintenance and DIY skills across multiple areas (plumbing, carpentry, electrics, gardening, etc.).
Competence in safely using hand and power tools and working in varied environments.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.
Valid Manual Handling, Infection Control, and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults certificates (training provided if needed).
Full Irish Driver’s License.
Previous experience in a care home or healthcare setting is advantageous.
