What You’ll Do:

• Perform a variety of maintenance tasks including painting, decorating, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, gardening, waste management, and general repairs.

• Work closely with the Management Team to prioritise and complete maintenance requests efficiently.

• Conduct and document regular maintenance checks (weekly, monthly, annually) with timely follow-up.

• Support emergency repairs, contractors, audits, and inspections.

• Ensure the home is safe, clean, and well-maintained in line with Health, Safety, and Fire regulations.

• Take ownership of tasks and log all completed work.

• Build strong, respectful relationships with residents and team members.

• Be flexible with scheduling, including evenings and weekends if required.

What We’re Looking For:

• Hands-on experience with general maintenance and DIY skills across multiple areas (plumbing, carpentry, electrics, gardening, etc.).

• Competence in safely using hand and power tools and working in varied environments.

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety.

• Valid Manual Handling, Infection Control, and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults certificates (training provided if needed).

• Full Irish Driver’s License.

• Previous experience in a care home or healthcare setting is advantageous.
