    We are looking for a motivated, organised, and detail-oriented individual to join our supportive and professional team as a Procurement Assistant.     What You’ll Do:

    • Support the Head of Procurement in the efficient sourcing and purchasing of food and non-food items across the Group.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, supplier correspondence, contracts, and pricing agreements.
    • Assist with tendering processes by gathering quotations, pricing information, and supplier documentation.
    • Liaise with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, pricing queries, and product availability.
    • Support the review of supplier performance to ensure quality, reliability, and value for money.
    • Assist in maintaining an approved supplier list across all Nursing Homes.
    • Support invoice administration by reviewing pre-approved invoices prior to submission for payment.
    • Assist with the management of annual service contracts and fixed-term pricing agreements.
    • Provide general administrative support to the Procurement Department, including preparing reports and summaries as required.
    • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of procurement policies and procedures across the Group.

     

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
    • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a busy environment.
    • Good numerical and analytical skills.

    Desirable:

    • Previous experience in an administrative or procurement-related role.
    • Basic knowledge of supplier and contract management principles.
    • Awareness of procurement within a care or healthcare setting.
